Nudgr Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates bella.vet. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Bella platform.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable privacy laws including New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 and Health Information Privacy Code, the Australian Privacy Act 1988, and Canada’s PIPEDA.

Account information: Name, email address, and practice details you provide when signing up.

Practice management data: When you connect your practice management software (ezyVet, etc.), we sync patient and client data including client names, email addresses, phone numbers, patient records (species, breed, age, weight), visit history, vaccination records, invoice history, and product purchase history. This data belongs to you and your practice clients.

Usage data: How you use the Bella platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken.

Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We retain records of transactions for billing purposes.

Communications: Emails and messages you send to us.

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Bella service
• Generate patient retention scores and at-risk signals
• Track vaccine compliance and product repurchase cycles
• Send automated recall sequences to your practice clients on your behalf
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send you product updates and support communications
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data or your clients’ data to third parties. We do not use patient or client data for advertising purposes.

Your practice clients’ data is processed by Bella as a data processor on your behalf. You are the data controller. You are responsible for ensuring your clients have appropriate notice of how their data is used, consistent with your client agreements and applicable health information privacy requirements.

Patient health data (vaccination records, diagnoses, treatment history) is treated with the highest level of care and is used solely to provide the Bella service.

We share data with:

• Twilio — to send SMS messages to your practice clients on your behalf
• Resend — to send emails to your practice clients on your behalf
• Stripe — to process your subscription payments
• Neon — our database infrastructure provider
• Vercel — our hosting provider

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Bella handles veterinary patient health information. We treat this data with the same care as human health information. We do not use veterinary patient health data for any purpose other than providing the Bella service to your practice.

Your data is stored on servers in the United States (Vercel/Neon infrastructure). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon termination, data is retained for 30 days before deletion. You may request earlier deletion by contacting hello@bella.vet.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to certain processing
• Data portability

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
